Commissioner reviews deep cleaning drive, development projects in Sillanwali

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Wednesday conducted a detailed visit to Tehsil Sillanwali to inspect ongoing deep cleaning activities being carried out under the Punjab government’s “Suthra Punjab” initiative.

According to the official spokesperson here, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry and Managing Director Suthra Punjab Authority Rana Muhammad Abu Bakar also accompanied the official during the visit while Assistant Commissioner Sillanwali and other officers were also present.

The Commissioner inspected various localities, markets, main roads and graveyards, reviewing sanitation arrangements, waste collection operations, sewerage conditions and the performance of field staff. He directed the concerned departments to further improve cleanliness measures to ensure a clean and healthy environment for citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Shaukat Ali said that improving sanitation standards in cities and towns remained a top priority under the Punjab government’s “Suthra Punjab” programme. He added that the performance of field staff was being continuously monitored and prompt resolution of public complaints would be ensured.

On the occasion, the Managing Director of Suthra Punjab Authority briefed the Commissioner that additional machinery and workforce had been deployed in Tehsil Sillanwali for the deep cleaning operation, while daily monitoring of the campaign was also underway.

The Commissioner directed all relevant departments to work in close coordination to maintain cleanliness standards.

He also received a detailed briefing on ongoing PDP development projects and instructed officials to complete all schemes within the stipulated timeline without compromising on quality.
