SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) An important review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali regarding the finalization of the proposed development schemes under On-Source Funding across the division. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of all four districts, heads of relevant departments, officers of development institutions and other relevant authorities.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the proposed development schemes related to public welfare, infrastructure improvement, sewage, construction and repair of roads, sanitation, clean drinking water and other basic facilities in different districts was conducted. The concerned officers gave a briefing about the feasibility, estimated cost, available resources, priorities and expected timeline of each scheme.

Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali while addressing the meeting, said that the Punjab government was taking practical steps to provide basic facilities to the people and make the development process more effective therefore, all departments should coordinate with each other and ensure timely preparation and completion of development projects.

He directed that public needs, transparency, effectiveness and sustainability should be given top priority in the schemes to be included under own source funding.

He said that development projects should be such that their fruits reach the common citizens directly and promote equal development in urban and rural areas.

The Commissioner further directed that all districts should finalize their proposed schemes as soon as possible and send them to the relevant forums so that after approval, practical work on them can be started on time.

The meeting also discussed in detail the issues of monitoring development projects, transparent use of funds and maintaining quality, while the concerned officers were directed to ensure regular monitoring of each project so that quality completion can be achieved within the stipulated time.
