Commissioner orders zero tolerance on wheat smuggling

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Saturday chaired a meeting to review measures aimed at preventing wheat smuggling across the division.

The commissioner directed authorities to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against wheat smuggling, stressing that the practice would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He called for strengthening the checking system and ensuring strict monitoring of inter-district and inter-provincial transportation.

Deputy commissioners of Sargodha,Khushab,Mianwali and Bhakkar attended the meeting and briefed the chair on the wheat situation in their respective districts and steps taken to curb illegal trade.

The commissioner also directed officials to take indiscriminate action against hoarding and illegal transportation of wheat.
