Commissioner orders strategy for effective use of govt assets, revenue generation

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Thursday presided over a video-link meeting with deputy commissioners of all four districts to review measures aimed at identifying government properties, ensuring their effective utilisation, and enhancing revenue generation.

According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner's office here, the DCs presented detailed briefings on government-owned properties, land, and other public assets available in their respective districts.

Discussions focused on comprehensive mapping of government assets, digitalization of records, assessment of commercial potential, and exploring avenues for their optimum utilization.

Addressing the participants, the Commissioner directed all districts to complete the identification of government properties within their jurisdictions and prepare detailed inventories of assets that could be utilized for revenue generation while safeguarding public interest.

He stressed that the efficient use of government resources would not only increase public revenue but also contribute significantly to developmental activities across the division.

Hafiz Shaukat Ali further instructed district administrations to formulate practical and sustainable strategies for the productive use of government assets and improved revenue collection.

He stressed the importance of regular monitoring and reporting of progress to ensure the effective implementation of these initiatives.

The Commissioner reiterated that the protection, transparent management, and optimal utilization of government properties remain among the key priorities of the Punjab government.

He added that maximizing benefits from public assets would help strengthen financial resources and support ongoing development efforts.

The meeting also reviewed various revenue-generation models, available opportunities, and future planning initiatives.

Relevant officials were directed to accelerate efforts to achieve the assigned targets and ensure timely implementation of proposed measures.
