FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar has visited Old Age Home and directed its authorities to ensure a home-like environment especially for elderly residents, with uninterrupted provision of essential facilities including Sehar and Iftar during Ramadan.
During visit, he spent some time with the senior citizens, inquired about their health and asked about the quality of services being provided at Old Age Home. He stressed that elderly residents must be treated with dignity and care and no hurdle should arise in the provision of basic necessities. He said that Old Age Home should strive to create an atmosphere similar to a home so that the residents feel comfortable and valued.
He further directed the management of Old Age Home to ensure smooth arrangements for Sehar and Iftar and maintain high standards of care.
Addressing the broader social responsibility, he urged the young generation to respect and honor their parents and take full care of their needs so that they do not have to seek shelter in such institutions.
The divisional administration would soon arrange a special Iftar dinner for the elderly residents as a gesture of solidarity and support, he added.
