MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Multan Amir Kareem Khan inaugurated a road widening and beautification project, aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing the landscape aesthetics at Kalma Chowk in the city on Wednesday.

The Rs 14 million project, completed under supervision of MDA, involved widening a 600-feet stretch of road in front of Muslim School, increasing its width from 24 feet to 36 feet, ensuring smoother traffic movement.

The initiative was undertaken after the site was identified as a persistent traffic bottleneck during a field review.

Resultantly, the boundary wall of Muslim School was shifted a few feet inward to expand the roadway and eliminate traffic congestion.

As part of the beautification effort, the school wall has been decorated with three relief panels and nineteen acrylic art panels depicting Multan’s culture, local heritage, development initiatives of the Punjab government, and tributes to the operations of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

Director General MDA Rashid Irshad, officials of relevant departments, and members of civil society were also present.
