SARGODHDA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction over the overall

performance of revenue officers across the division and announced a series of individual

district-level meetings to evaluate their progress.

Presiding over a review meeting of the Revenue Department, the commissioner stated that

future determination of rewards and punishments for officers would be strictly based on their

individual performance outcomes.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners (Revenue), and Assistant Commissioners from the four districts of the division, alongside the focal person for the board of Revenue's PLUS project.

The commissioner emphasized that the revenue system is a Primary responsibility of the department, yet the current pace of work in several areas remains unsatisfactory.

He directed that targets related to stamp duty, mutations, registration fees, agricultural income tax, water rates, and the digitalization of villages must be met with increased efficiency.

Hafiz Shaukat Ali also took stern notice of the poor performance of the Sub-Registrar in Sargodha Tehsil, directing the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) to ensure official attendance and punctuality to facilitate the public.

Furthermore, he reviewed the progress of the PLUS project, instructing relevant officers to expedite digitalization and record-keeping phases to meet the government's priorities for increasing state revenue and improving service delivery.
