Commissioner directs strict cleanliness, security measures at cattle sale points

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen has directed for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness at temporary cattle sale points and model cattle markets established across four districts of the division for Eid-ul-Azha.

Chairing a review meeting regarding Eid-ul-Azha arrangements, she instructed the “Suthra Punjab Authority” to perform its responsibilities efficiently and ensure a clean and hygienic environment at all temporary sale points set up for the buying and selling of sacrificial animals.

She said that immediate response should be ensured on even minor complaints and all public grievances must be resolved without delay.

She also directed the administration to take precautionary measures in view of possible rain and windstorms so that traders and buyers could be protected from inconvenience.

She emphasized that clean and chilled drinking water should remain available at all cattle sale points while proper shaded arrangements must also be ensured for visitors and traders.

Deputy Commissioners and district police officers of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot attended the meeting through video link while CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain, additional commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Director Development, Director Local Government and other officers were present on the occasion.
