Commissioner control room releases details of Muharram processions, gatherings

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) In connection with Muharram, the Divisional Control Room of Commissioner Lahore has released details of processions and gatherings to be held in Lahore on Friday.

According to the report, a total of 15 mourning processions of different categories will be taken out in the city on Friday.

According to the details, two processions of Category A and 13 processions of Category B will be taken out, while no procession of Category C will be taken out today. Similarly, a total of 395 gatherings will be held across the city, including 45 of Category A, 261 of Category B and 89 of Category C.

Commissioner Lahore Maryam Khan has said that all municipal arrangements have been completed for the processions and gatherings of Muharram-ul-Haram. Provision of drainage, sanitation, lighting and other civic amenities has been ensured so that the mourners do not face any kind of difficulty.

She further said that the central control centers are fully functional and live monitoring of the processions and gatherings is being done through various means, all the relevant institutions are performing their duties in coordination so that peace and order and civic amenities can be maintained during Muharram-ul-Haram.
