Commissioner conducts surprise visit to Maryam Nawaz Hospital in Khanqah Sharif

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen conducted a surprise visit to Maryam Nawaz Hospital Khanqah

Sharif to review the provision of healthcare services and overall administrative arrangements.

During the visit, she met patients undergoing treatment and inquired about quality and availability

of medical facilities being provided.

Director Health Services Dr Syed Tanveer Hussain briefed the commissioner on clinical services,

staff attendance, patient flow, and ongoing improvement measures at the facility.

While reviewing the hospital environment, the commissioner expressed dissatisfaction with certain

cleanliness arrangements and reprimanded the concerned staff, directing them to ensure strict

compliance with hygiene and attendance standards.

The commissioner also inspected availability of medicines, examined stock registers, and reviewed patient care services.

She emphasized that the provision of quality and timely medical treatment must be ensured under all

circumstances and instructed the hospital administration to address identified gaps without delay.
