Commissioner chairs meeting on cleanliness urban development

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia on Monday chaired a review meeting on urban beautification and public service delivery in Bahawalpur.

The meeting reviewed ongoing sanitation, beautification and civic facilities improvement initiatives under various development programmes.

Commissioner Kathia said that under the “Suthra Punjab” programme, the sanitation system would be further strengthened to ensure a clean and healthy environment for citizens.

He directed that all under-construction projects, particularly at major intersections, be completed on priority, adding that no compromise would be made on quality standards.

He reiterated that provision of quality public facilities remained a top priority of the administration, stressing efforts to ensure a safe and clean urban environment.

Deputy Commissioner(DC).Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza briefed the meeting on public safety initiatives and preventive measures being implemented in the district.

The Commissioner further instructed departments to enhance coordination and work in collaboration to resolve civic issues and improve service delivery for the public.
