CM witnesses flag-lowering ceremony at Wagah Border

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif attended the “Marka-e-Haq” Solidarity Parade at Wagah Border, where she was warmly received by organisers and officials upon her arrival.

The CM visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and laid a floral wreath as a mark of respect. She offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and acknowledged their supreme sacrifices for the homeland.

She also witnessed and participated in the traditional flag-lowering ceremony at the Wagah Border, which was marked by a strong display of national enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The event, organised under the banner of “Marka-e-Haq”, drew a large number of participants who expressed solidarity with the armed forces and the nation. The arena reverberated with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”, reflecting national unity and pride.

Pakistan Rangers personnel, carrying the national flag with discipline and pride, performed the parade amid an atmosphere charged with patriotic fervour.

At the conclusion, the CM also posed for a group photograph with Rangers personnel, appreciating their professionalism and dedication.
