CM takes notice of drowning incident in River Jhelum

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday took notice of a tragic incident in which a woman and her three daughters reportedly drowned in the River Jhelum.

The CM directed the authorities concerned to utilise all available resources to expedite the search and rescue operation.

She also instructed the Deputy Commissioner Jhang to personally monitor and supervise the ongoing rescue efforts.

CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized the need for timely and coordinated action to locate the missing girls and ensure that all necessary measures were taken during the operation. She also prayed for the safe recovery of the three missing daughters and expressed concern over the tragic incident.
