CM Kabaddi Championship begins at Punjab Stadium

Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Department Director General Muhammad Tariq Qureshi on Monday chaired a review meeting to assess preparations for the three-day CM Punjab Kabaddi Championship 2026 and reviewed arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jun, 2026) Punjab sports and Youth Affairs Department Director General Muhammad Tariq Qureshi on Monday chaired a review meeting to assess preparations for the three-day CM Punjab Kabaddi Championship 2026 and reviewed arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event.

The meeting was informed that all necessary arrangements for the championship had been finalized. The event will be held at Punjab Stadium from June 29 to July 1.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said teams from all divisions of Punjab would participate in the championship, while athletes from across the province would attend the opening ceremony.

He said the championship would help identify and promote emerging kabaddi talent. He added that comprehensive arrangements, including accommodation, security and other facilities, had been made to facilitate participating players and officials.

The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the final preparations for the championship.

Among those who attended the meeting were Director Administration Abid Shaukat, Director Sports Chand Parveen, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, Punjab Kabaddi Association representative Tahir Waheed Jutt, Deputy Director Zarina Waqar, Assistant Director Bilal Akram, Malik Nasir and other officials.
