CM Afridi seeks report on explosion targeting Tank police vehicle

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jul, 2026) Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi has taken notice of the explosion targeting a police armoured vehicle in Tank district and strongly condemned the incident on Monday.

The chief minister directed the Inspector General of Police to submit a detailed report on the attack and instructed the relevant authorities to take all necessary measures.

In his statement, Afridi paid tribute to the police personnel martyred in the blast and expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to their bereaved families.

He also directed authorities to provide the best possible medical treatment to the injured cops and wished them a speedy recovery.

The chief minister said the provincial government stands with the affected families in this difficult time and will not leave them alone.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to intensifying operations against elements seeking to disrupt peace and security.

Afridi stated that such cowardly terrorist attacks cannot weaken the morale of our forces or shake the resolve of the people. He added that maintaining peace in the province remains the government's top priority adding the sacrifices of the police force will not go in vain.
