Clerk, messenger arrested for extorting bribe from retired teacher

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) apprehended a Senior Clerk and a Messenger of a government school while extorting bribes from a retired teacher to process gratuity and retirement.

An official of ACE Hyderabad informed that the clerk Salman Memon and the messenger Noor Muhammad were arrested red handed while taking bribe from a retired teacher, Sehar Bano who had already lodged a complaint with the ACE against the two officials.

The official informed that the 2 men had extorted hundreds of thousands of rupees from Bano since October, 2025, to process her gratuity, pension and other funds.According to him, a cheque of Rs400,000 besides cash given by Bano was allegedly recovered from Memon and Muhammad.The official told that an FIR had been registered against both of them on the retired teacher's complaint.
