Cleanliness operation continues on second day of Eid

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) The cleanliness operation across the city continued on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, with sanitation staff actively deployed in the field to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for residents.

According to officials, the special Eid cleanliness campaign was carried out in various areas of the city, where waste collection, street sweeping, and removal of accumulated garbage were carried out on a priority basis.

The Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) maintained continuous monitoring to ensure timely disposal of waste.

Citizens, while sharing their views during the ongoing Eid operation, appreciated the efforts of WSSC Dera for maintaining cleanliness during the festive days. Many residents termed the initiative effective and essential for ensuring a healthy environment.

Chairman WSSC, Naimat Ullah Khan Advocate, lauded the performance of the sanitation teams and said that providing a clean and healthy city environment remains the organization’s top priority.

He urged citizens to cooperate with the sanitation staff by disposing of waste at designated points and maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.

He stated that public cooperation was essential for the success of such campaigns and appreciated the positive feedback received from citizens during Eid days.

The WSSC has also appealed to residents to continue supporting the ongoing cleanliness drive to help sustain a clean

and pleasant environment across Dera Ismail Khan.
