QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Medical Superintendent (MS) Civil Hospital Quetta, Abdul Hadi Kakar, has strongly condemned attempts to malign the hospital through a fake video circulating on social media. Addressing a press conference, he revealed that investigations confirmed the viral footage originated from Uttar Pradesh, India, not from Civil Hospital Quetta.
Abdul Hadi Kakar noted that even a prominent anchorperson had shared the misleading video online, prompting the hospital administration to approach cybercrime authorities. He announced that all individuals involved in spreading the false content would face legal action.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to healthcare, Abdul Hadi Kakar added that Civil Hospital has a full six-month stock of medicines and continues to serve patients from across Balochistan. He described the video as a deliberate attempt to discredit the institution and demoralize the public.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The MS emphasized that Civil Hospital provides services to over 4,000 thalassemia patients, treats emergencies from across the province, and even delivers medical support to prisons. He acknowledged certain challenges in the laboratory system but assured that improvements would be implemented within a month.
According to Abdul Hadi Kakar, the hospital caters to 5,000 patients daily, with more than 1.1 million OPDs registered in the past six months. Currently, around 500 patients are under treatment. He stressed that the administration is committed to reforms and urged the public to verify content before sharing it online.
He further noted that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently inaugurated 11 health projects, which will significantly enhance medical facilities in the province.
