CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) The district administration in Chiniot has established designated sale points for the purchase and sale of sacrificial animals ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, with authorities intensifying efforts to ensure safe and organized cattle trading across the district.

In this regard on Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif visited the cattle sale point on Jhang Road and reviewed security arrangements, public facilities, and administrative measures put in place for traders and buyers. Assistant Commissioner Shaista Jabeen, COMC Muhammad Arif, In-charge Para Force Muzammil Hussain, the cattle market manager, police officials, and other officers were also present during the visit.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that three official sale points had been established in the tehsils of Lalian, Chiniot, and Bhowana.

She said all relevant departments were working jointly to make the buying and selling of sacrificial animals organized, secure, and convenient for the public during Eid-ul-Adha.

She added that facilities including parking areas, lighting, shaded spaces, clean drinking water, fans, and ventilation arrangements had been provided at the designated markets. Special camps by Rescue 1122, the Health Department, Police, Civil Defense, and Livestock Department had also been set up, while veterinary doctors would inspect animals and provide guidance to buyers.

Meanwhile, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif reviewed security measures, including the installation of CCTV cameras, and warned that action would be taken against illegal and unsafe temporary cattle markets. Citizens were urged to buy and sell animals only at officially designated points.
