Chiniot police, peace committee review Eid security and law-and-order measures

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif on Monday held a meeting with members of the District Peace Committee in Chiniot to review the overall law-and-order situation and discuss security arrangements ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

The meeting, attended by peace committee members and senior police officials, focused on the prevailing national security environment, interfaith harmony, and measures being taken to ensure peaceful celebrations during the Eid holidays. Participants also exchanged views on maintaining public order and preventing any untoward incidents in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif briefed the participants on security preparations made by the police for Eid-ul-Adha and appreciated the role of the Peace Committee in promoting religious tolerance and communal harmony.

He urged citizens and committee members to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying and discouraging disruptive elements.

Members of the Peace Committee assured the police of their full cooperation in maintaining peace and security across the district. Special prayers were also offered for national stability, public safety, and lasting peace, while the DPO presented commemorative gifts from Chiniot Police to the committee members in recognition of their efforts.
