CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Police on Thursday initiated a comprehensive and structured training programme aimed at promoting community policing and improving public security across Chiniot.

The initiative, launched on the directives of Inspector General of Police Abdul Karim, includes specialized workshops where police personnel are being trained to adopt a positive, professional, and respectful attitude towards citizens.

During a visit to the training session, District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif briefed officers on the chief minister’s instructions regarding courteous public dealing, while emphasizing the importance of trust-building between police and the community.

Senior police officials, religious scholars, and medical professionals are delivering lectures in the workshops, and guiding personnel on ethical conduct and responsible policing. Officers are being instructed to treat citizens visiting police stations with kindness and dignity, therefore fostering a more citizen-centric approach to law enforcement.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naveed Atif said that a meaningful change in police station culture would be ensured through such initiatives, as these training sessions will continue gradually in phases. He urged officers to make public service their motto and to uphold the dignity and respect of every citizen at all times.
