Chiniot police hold student awareness session under community policing initiative

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a student awareness session was held on Thursday at the DPO Office in Chiniot to promote community policing and guide students toward a safer and more informed future.

The interactive session, described by officials as a “gossip session,” was attended by District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif, the principal of Chenab College, teachers, and a large number of students. The discussion focused on law-abiding citizenship, health and sanitation, education, and career counseling.

During the session, students engaged directly with the DPO, asking questions about their future prospects and societal challenges, while officials provided guidance on responsible citizenship and personal development.

DPO Dr. Naveed Atif said the purpose of such initiatives is to bridge the gap between police and students and to build trust through positive engagement. He added that these sessions aim to raise awareness among youth and help shape a society free from social evils, stressing that similar programmes would continue in the future.
