Chiniot police arrest 72 criminals in district-wide crackdown

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Police teams across Chiniot district have arrested 54 declared criminals and 18 court fugitives from different areas this month as part of a special campaign targeting wanted offenders.

Among those arrested, three were wanted in serious Category A cases.The arrests were made using both human resources and modern technology, officials said.

The individuals were wanted by police in connection with cases of robbery, theft, damage, and other offenses.DPO Dr. Naveed Atif said the crackdown against criminal elements is being carried out rapidly to ensure the safety of citizens.

He stated that special teams have been formed specifically to track and arrest wanted persons.

The DPO added that the arrest of all remaining criminals will be ensured by utilizing every available resource, reiterating the district police’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
