According to the district administration, all WASA Chiniot teams were mobilised immediately after the rainfall on Thursday, while field staff carried out drainage operations across the city. The prompt response helped clear water accumulated in various localities and restore normal conditions, providing relief to residents.
Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan, accompanied by Administrator and Managing Director Suthra Punjab Wasiq Abbas Haral, the Managing Director of WASA, the Manager of Suthra Punjab, the Chief Officer Municipal Committee and other officials, visited several areas to review drainage, sanitation and disposal operations.

During the inspection, Ayesha Rizwan directed all relevant departments to maintain round-the-clock preparedness during the monsoon season by keeping personnel and machinery fully operational.
