Chiniot authorities review security arrangements for Hazrat Ali (AS) Martyrdom Day procession

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the route of the main procession to be held on the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (AS). During the visit, officials from Civil Defense, Rescue 1122, the Chief Officer Municipal Committee (COMC), Waste Management Company, and other allied departments were also present. Meanwhile, SP Investigation Chiniot Muhammad Nawaz, DSP City, SHO City Police Station, and the Incharge Security accompanied the senior officials to review the critical arrangements.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner and the DPO carefully examined security measures and other administrative preparations along the procession route. In addition, they clearly directed officers to ensure strict monitoring, effective route management, and improved sanitation measures. Officials were instructed to conduct a thorough sweeping of the route while security teams were tasked to finalize a robust plan to prevent any untoward incident.

Moreover, the officers met with the organizers of the procession and constructively discussed arrangements to ensure the peaceful conduct of the event. Subsequently, they jointly visited the entry and exit points of the route along with organizers and closely inspected the installation and functioning of CCTV cameras and other surveillance systems. The administration stressed mutual cooperation, which was described as essential for maintaining law and order.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and DPO Dr. Naveed Atif reaffirmed that all allied departments would remain fully engaged in ensuring smooth arrangements on the occasion. Therefore, they emphasized that every available resource would be utilized to guarantee the safety and convenience of mourners attending the procession.
