Chiniot administration ramps up cleanliness, beautification drive ahead of Eid

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Thursday led a comprehensive review of cleanliness, sanitation, and beautification arrangements across Chiniot to ensure smooth public facilitation ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Accompanied by Administrator Wasiq Abbas Haral, officials from COMC, WASA, and Suthra Punjab, the deputy commissioner visited Pir Hafiz Diwan Cemetery to assess sanitation conditions. She directed authorities to complete the cleaning of all graveyards across the district before Eid, so that citizens can visit the resting places of their loved ones without inconvenience, and instructed that all necessary facilities be ensured.

Later, the team visited library Park on Sargodha Road to review ongoing beautification work, cleanliness arrangements, and the food street setup. The deputy commissioner ordered that all development work be completed by tonight, while emphasizing proper lighting at all public spots to enhance safety and appearance.

Reviewing arrangements at various locations designated for Eid gatherings, she directed the departments of Clean Punjab, Municipal Committee, and WASA to ensure thorough cleaning of roads, Eidgahs, and other public places, therefore providing a clean and welcoming environment for citizens during the festive occasion.
