Chinese citizen killed in Tehran amid military conflict : Mao Ning

BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) A Chinese citizen in Tehran has unfortunately been killed amid the ongoing military conflicts, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed on Monday.

"We express our condolences for the deceased compatriot and our sympathies to the family," Mao said during her regular briefing.

The Foreign Ministry has instructed the Chinese Embassy in Iran to provide assistance to the individual involved and the family, she said.

As of March 2, Beijing time, more than 3,000 Chinese citizens have evacuated from Iran. The Chinese embassies and consulates in countries around Iran have sent working teams to pick up at ports to provide assistance to Chinese citizens evacuated from Iran.
