Children's fight leads to killing of student in Regi

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) In a tragic incident in Regi area here, a young student was shot dead following a minor dispute that reportedly started over a children’s fight.

According to police on Monday, the victim, identified as 24-year-old Mudassir, got into a verbal argument with his neighbor Tariq after a quarrel involving children escalated.

During the altercation, the suspect allegedly opened fire and shot Mudassir in the head, killing him on the spot.

Police launched an immediate operation and arrested the accused, who works at a veterinary hospital.

Authorities said the suspect was preparing to flee from his home when he was captured during a raid.
