Child killed, father injured in roof collapse

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) A six-year-old boy was killed, while his father sustained minor injuries after the roof of a house collapsed in Bahrawal village, Lalamusa, following heavy rain.

According to Rescue 1122 here on Wednesday,the wooden-beam roof of a room suddenly caved in due to continuous rainfall, trapping the occupants under the debris.

As a result, Ali Imran, 6, died on the way to hospital, while his father, Muhammad Imran, 36, suffered minor injuries.

The family shifted both victims to the Trauma Centre, Lalamusa, before the arrival of the Rescue 1122 team.

Further investigation was underway.
