Charged expenditure of Rs2.644 trillion for FY2024-25 & Rs12.646 trillion for FY2025-26 presented in NA

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) The charged expenditures under Clause (1) of Article 82 of the Constitution as reflected in the Regular and Technical Supplementary Grants for the financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26 on Wednesday presented in National Assembly.

According to documents presented in the House, charged expenditure for FY2024-25 amounted to Rs2.644 trillion. The amount included Rs208 million for the President’s staff, household and personal allowances, Rs40.350 billion for repayment of short-term foreign credits, Rs63 million for audit-related expenses, and Rs2.

604 trillion for repayment of domestic debt.

For FY2025-26, the charged expenditure was at Rs12.646 trillion. The largest share, Rs12.643 trillion, was allocated for repayment of domestic debt, while Rs455.984 million was earmarked for election-related expenditure and Rs2.25 billion for the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan.

These expenditures form part of the Regular and Technical Supplementary Grants currently under consideration during the ongoing budget session.
