Chairman Zakat,Ushr Council Pb vows transparent distribution of funds:

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Chairman Zakat and Ushr Council Punjab and Member Provincial Assembly(MPA) of Pakistan Muslim League-N Rana Munawar Ghous Khan on Tuesday said the provincial government was ensuring transparent and merit-based distribution of Zakat funds among the deserving people.

Talking to APP, the Chairman Zakat and Ushr Council Punjab stated that a comprehensive mechanism had been evolved to monitor the distribution process at the grassroots level to eliminate any chance of discrepancy.

He further informed that the digitalization of the Zakat system was underway to facilitate the beneficiaries and maintain a clear record of the disbursements.

Rana Munawar Ghous Khan said that local Zakat committees had been directed to identify the most vulnerable segments of society so that financial assistance could reach their doorsteps without any delay.

He reiterated the Punjab government's commitment to alleviating poverty and providing social security to the underprivileged through the effective utilization of Zakat and Ushr funds.
