Chairman Zakat pays site visit of 'Drainage Schemes'

Council Punjab, Rana Munawar Ghous Khan on Sunday paid a site visit of drainage schemes

of 123-SB ,126 SB,128 SB and 131-SB in his constituency of Tehsil Sillanwali.

He was accompanied by Executive Engineer Sargodha Drainage Division, Umair Tanveer,

and Deputy Director Mines & Minerals, Noman Azam.

During the visit, Rana Munawar Ghous Khan inspected the ongoing drainage works in order to

drain the hill's water into Saeem Nala, and listened to the grievances of local farmers, ensuring

their issues were addressed on the spot.

Speaking on the occasion, Rana Munwar Ghous Khan said that the project was being completed

at an estimated cost of Rs 480 million, with a strict deadline of June 30,2026.

Regarding the issue of hill' toxic water, he said that both the drainage water and the hill water

would be channeled into the same Nala, adding that the people who had long been facing problems

due to hill's water would not face such difficulties in the future.

He assured that the fields of farmers would no longer be damaged and their longstanding demands

would be met through this project.

The Pakistan Muslim League-N MPA emphasized that the concerned departments are working on a war-footing basis to ensure the timely completion of the project and to provide lasting relief to the farming community of the area.

He further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is utilizing all available resources for the welfare and development of the people of the province.
