Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee calls on Governor

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has said that Pakistan is a strong advocate of peace, tolerance and interfaith harmony.

He said that the role of religious scholars, spiritual leaders and all schools of thought is extremely important for promoting religious harmony, tolerance and peace in society.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad at Governor House. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on important matters relating to interfaith harmony, religious tolerance, national unity and the promotion of brotherhood.

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that interfaith harmony, peace, stability and national unity are the need of the hour. He emphasized joint efforts to promote an atmosphere of unity, tolerance, harmony and brotherhood in the country and appreciated the initiatives taken by the Governor Sindh for promoting interfaith harmony and public welfare services.

Both sides agreed to adopt a joint strategy for spreading the message of peace, tolerance, love and national unity across the country.
