Met Office predicts most parts of province to remain hot and dry during the next 24 hours while temperatures in central Balochistan are expected to stay exceptionally high
QUETTA: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-June 25th, 2026) The residents of Balochistan are likely to continue experiencing hot and dry weather conditions, with central districts expected to remain under the grip of intense heat, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted on Thursday.
The Met Office said most parts of the province would remain hot and dry during the next 24 hours, while temperatures in central Balochistan are expected to stay exceptionally high.
The local authorities have advised residents to take precautionary measures and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak daytime hours.
In Quetta and adjoining areas, weather conditions are expected to remain dry with clear skies, providing little relief from the prevailing warm conditions.
Despite the widespread heat, the PMD has forecast the possibility of rain at isolated locations in several districts, including Sherani, Musa Khel, Kohlu, Barkhan and Khuzdar. The expected rainfall may bring temporary respite from the heat in these areas.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Coastal districts of the province are likely to experience partly cloudy weather, although no significant rainfall has been predicted for those regions.
Meteorological data showed that Sibbi remained one of the hottest areas in the country, recording a maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius on the previous day. The extreme temperature highlights the severity of the ongoing heatwave affecting parts of Balochistan.
Weather experts said the prevailing weather system is likely to keep temperatures above normal in many districts, particularly in central and eastern parts of the province. They urged citizens to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day and take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
The PMD continues to monitor weather conditions across the province and has advised the public, especially children, elderly people and outdoor workers, to remain vigilant as high temperatures persist.
