Case filed against alleged solitary confinement of Bushra Bibi

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) A petition has been moved to Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday against alleged solitary confinement of Bushra Bibi.

Mubashra Khavar Maneka, the daughter of Bushra Bibi, filed a petition through Barrister Salman Safdar stating that no court has sentenced Bushra Bibi to solitary confinement.

The petition argues that such imprisonment is illegal and exceeds legal authority under the Pakistan Penal Code and jail rules. The petition requests the court to declare keeping Bushra Bibi in solitary confinement without any judicial order as illegal.
