RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) A Students Career Counselling Centre was inaugurated at the Government Associate College for Women Dhoke Kala Khan on Tuesday to provide academic, mental and physical guidance to female students.
The initiative was launched on the directives of the Special Secretary, Higher education Department, aiming to align students with modern educational and professional requirements.
The ceremony was held under the supervision of Principal Dr Ayesha Javed, who also constituted an effective counselling committee to ensure comprehensive guidance and support for students.
Director Colleges and Secretary board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, Amjad Iqbal Khattak attended the event as chief guest, while Assistant Director Colleges Ana Riaz was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Amjad Iqbal Khattak appreciated the efforts of the college administration and termed the establishment of the counselling centre a significant step towards ensuring a bright future for students.
He said career counselling would help students make informed academic and professional choices and enable them to face future challenges effectively.
A meeting was also held during the event in which committee members and students participated. The participants were given guidance on career planning, academic pathways and healthy lifestyle practices.
