Call for strengthening women empowerment

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) The speakers have emphasized the need to strengthen efforts for women empowerment in Pakistan.

They said this while addressing a ceremony held at the Women Development Center of Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur that was organized in connection with International Women’s Day.

Speakers including Advocate Syed Munawar Hussain Bukhari, Dr.

Amina Noor, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Advocate, Dr. Sumaira Malik, Dr. Safina Sheikh, Gynecologist and Director of the Health Care Center and Ms. Tazeen Fatima Abbasi said that women should raise their voices for their rights, adding that such events provided excellent opportunities for women.

They further said that it was need of hour to highlight the social, economic, and professional challenges faced by women and discuss their practical solutions. They emphasized the importance of empowering women in contemporary society.
