Call for promoting technological research

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) A webinar titled “Learn Smart Reference Management with Mendeley” was organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTiC).

According to an official press release issued on Sunday, Mr. Muhammad Hasnain, Additional Director at PASTiC’s Regional Office Faisalabad, emphasized the importance of adopting practical measures to promote technological research in order to meet modern-day needs.

Dr. Muhammad Naeem Aamir, Manager Research Management at ORIC, IUB, welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of effective reference management in academic research.

The keynote trainer, Dr. Maryum Ibrar, Additional Director at PASTiC, introduced the organization and outlined its services for the research community.

She delivered a detailed presentation on Mendeley as a reference management tool, followed by a live, on-screen demonstration to enhance participants’ understanding. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, enabling direct engagement between participants and the trainer.

The webinar ended with a vote of thanks to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif, Director ORIC, along with the administration of PASTiC and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur for their support and collaboration.
