Cable operator electrocuted

KHANEWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) A cable operator died after being electrocuted while carrying out repair work in Khanewal on Friday night, rescue officials said.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred near Awan Chowk when the worker came into contact with an electric current from a utility pole during cable installation/repair activity.

The deceased was identified as Ajab Gul, son of Lal Muhammad, r/o Chak 74/10-R.

Rescue 1122 officials shifted the body to DHQ hospital Khanewal.
