Business leader, parliamentarians pay tribute to armed forces

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) President Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Multan Mian Bakhtawar Tanveer Sheikh, along with Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies Syed Ali Qasim Gillani and Syed Ali Haider Gillani, paid tribute to the sacrifices and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces on May 9.

In a joint statement, the leaders said Pakistan had given a strong and effective response to India’s aggression and attempts to create instability in the region last year, thwarting the enemy’s designs.

They said the armed forces, under the leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir, had made the country’s defence impregnable, while the nation demonstrated unity in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and stability.

The leaders said a strong defence was essential for a stable Pakistan and added that peace, economic progress and national unity required collective efforts from all segments of society.
