LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) The Punjab government has allocated Rs 8 billion for various ongoing and new development schemes of Emergency Service Rescue 1122 for the fiscal year 2026-27.
According to budget documents, Rs 538.9 million has been earmarked for ongoing schemes, while Rs 261 million has been allocated for new schemes.
The allocation for ongoing schemes includes Rs 300 million for the provision of fire services in 39 tehsils without fire vehicles, Rs 73.5 million for the Rescue EMT Internship Programme, and Rs 39.5 million for the upgradation of the Emergency Services academy Lahore.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Under new schemes, Rs 244 million has been earmarked under the Chief Minister’s Initiative for the establishment of new rescue stations. In addition, Rs 5 million each has been allocated for capacity building of emergency services in Punjab, expansion of emergency services at the town level, and clearance of liabilities and unfunded schemes.
Under the Katcha Area Development Programme, Rs 2.007 million has also been earmarked for the establishment of a Rescue 1122 station at Bangla Icha in Rajanpur district.
