Brother, sister killed in Paharpur house attack

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Two siblings were killed while their father sustained injuries after unidentified armed men stormed a house and opened fire in Mitrahabad village of Paharpur tehsil, the police said on Thursday.

According to police, the assailants entered the house and opened indiscriminate firing at the family for reasons yet to be determined. As a result, 28-year-old Umar and his 25-year-old sister died on the spot, while their 57-year-old father, Ghulam Muhammad Umar, suffered injuries.

Soon after receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and the injured man to hospital.

Further investigation was underway.
