BRA intensifies enforcement campaign for mandatory POS integration

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has intensified its monitoring and enforcement campaign to ensure mandatory Point of Sale (POS) integration across the province.

As part of the drive, notices were issued to various cafes and restaurant for failing to complete POS integration. The managements were directed to immediately link their POS systems with BRA, ensure issuance of electronic invoices, and fully comply with the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services Act, 2015.

BRA clarified that invoices generated through POS integration are monitored in real time to guarantee transparency, accurate tax collection, and effective documentation of business transactions.

The authority warned that failure to complete POS integration and other legal requirements within the stipulated timeframe would result in penalties, sealing of business premises, and other legal actions under the law.

Furthermore, all restaurants, cafes, and other service providers have been instructed to ensure timely registration, POS integration, return filing, and tax payment to avoid punitive measures.
