Body found from canal after 12 hours

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) The Rescue 1122 fished out the body of a man from Gugera Branch Canal

after hectic efforts of 12 hours.

A Rescue 1122 spokesman said on Tuesday that Munir Ghulam of Chak No 274-GB Bachiana

was trying to cross Gugera Branch Canal near Chak No.

377-GB when he accidentally slipped

and drowned in it on Monday evening.

Receiving information, nine divers of Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and started a search

but failed.

However, today, the divers succeeded in fishing out the body.

Later, the body was handed over to the family for burial after completing formalities,

he added.
