MIRPUR (AJK) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 13th May, 2026) A blood donation camp and commemorative ceremony has been organized at the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital here to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq”, with participants paying tributes to the Pakistan Army and the success of Operation “Banyan Marsus”.
The event was chaired by the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr Ijaz Ahmed, and attended by senior officials including Senior Superintendent , Police, Khurram Iqbal, Principal, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College, Professor Dr Faisal Bashir, and District Health Officer, Fida Hussain Raja.
The doctors, nurses, paramedics, faculty members and other hospital staff attended the ceremony in large numbers.
The speakers praised the sacrifices and services of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the country, maintaining peace and combating militancy.

A commemorative cake was cut during the ceremony, while attendees chanted slogans in support of Pakistan and its military.
A special blood donation drive, organised alongside the event, saw participation from the hospital employees and members of civil society.
The organisers said the campaign symbolised national solidarity, humanitarian service and remembrance of those who had lost their lives in the line of duty.
The speakers said the initiative also highlighted the importance of donating blood to help patients in need and pledged to continue promoting humanitarian and welfare activities.
The special prayers were offered for the country’s security, development and prosperity, as well as for those who had died in service to the nation.
