Blind murder traced, accused arrested

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jul, 2026) Batala Colony police have solved a blind murder case of a youth and arrested the accused within one month.

A police spokesman said here on Saturday that 24-year-old Basharat Ali, a resident of Allama Iqbal Colony, was stabbed to death under mysterious circumstances near Mithaiwala Chowk at night on June 7, 2026.

The police after lodging complaint started investigation and used latest technology. The police traced out whereabouts of the accused Waqas and arrested him.

The accused was an addict person. He during a scuffle hit Basharat Ali in his chest over a monetary dispute and escaped from the scene.

The police locked the accused behind bars while further investigation was under progress, the spokesman added.
