SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Sargodha on Wednesday directed heads of educational institutions to ensure live fingerprint scanning for the online registration of students in 9th and 11th grades for the 2026-28 academic session.
According to a press release issued by the Secretary BISE Sargodha, the mandatory biometric verification is being implemented under the directives of the Punjab government's controlling authority. He clarified that the online registration process for students would not be finalized without the successful live scanning of fingerprints.
Regarding the schedule, the Secretary informed that online registration for the 9th grade without a late fee commenced on April 25 and will continue until June 8, 2026.
The deadline for submitting hard copies of registration returns along with fee challans to the board is also June 8. For those missing the initial deadline, registration will be accepted with a late fee of Rs. 600 from June 9 to June 23, 2026, while the submission of hard copies for these cases must be completed by June 23. Providing a breakdown of the costs, the official stated that the registration fee is set at Rs. 1,100 per student, in addition to a processing fee of Rs. 630, board development fund of Rs. 300, scholarship fee of Rs. 180, and a sports fee of Rs. 200. This measure aims to enhance the transparency and security of student records across the schools and colleges within the Sargodha division.
