Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced his election campaign schedule for the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) general elections, set to be held on July 27.
As part of the campaign, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address public meetings in Dadial on July 17, Kotli on July 19, Nakial on July 21, Mirpur on July 22 and Muzaffarabad on July 24.
PPP sources said that the schedule for additional rallies and public gatherings will be issued later as the party intensifies its election campaign in AJK.
Ahead of the elections, the Election Commission of AJK has released updated electoral rolls, revealing a significant rise in the number of registered voters across the region.

According to the latest voter lists, the total number of registered voters in AJK’s 45 constituencies has reached 3,804,385, compared with 3,220,546 voters in the 2021 general elections.
The electoral rolls show an increase of 583,839 voters over the past five years.
Of the total electorate, 3,365,839 voters are registered in the 33 constituencies located within AJK, while 438,546 voters are enrolled in the 12 constituencies in Pakistan reserved for refugees from occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Election Commission’s data shows that the AJK electorate comprises 2,001,730 male voters and 1,802,655 female voters.
Among territorial constituencies, LA-7 Bhimber-III has the highest number of registered voters with 129,994, followed by LA-31 Muzaffarabad-V with 128,177 voters and LA-12 Kotli-V with 126,332 voters.
Meanwhile, LA-30 Muzaffarabad-IV has the lowest number of registered voters, with 68,228 voters.
The last general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir were held in July 2021.
