Bhimber lawyers thank AJK Chief Justice for landmark Judicial Complex initiative

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) A delegation of lawyers from the Bhimber District Bar Association on Friday met Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan and expressed profound gratitude for his efforts in facilitating the establishment of the Bhimber Judicial Complex, describing the move as a significant step toward strengthening the judicial infrastructure in the region. The delegation, led by Bar President Chaudhry Gulzar Ahmed Advocate and General Secretary Chaudhry Habib Aslam, also met Senior Judge of the AJK Supreme Court Justice Raza Ali Khan and Judge Justice Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, according to an official statement.

During the meeting, the delegation warmly appreciated the Chief Justice’s proactive role, stating that the long-awaited judicial complex was being realized largely due to his personal commitment to improving facilities for litigants as well as members of both the bench and the bar. Moreover, the lawyers noted that the project would significantly enhance access to justice, thereby creating a more organized and efficient judicial environment in Bhimber district.

Furthermore, the delegation extended heartfelt congratulations to Justice Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry on his recent appointment as a judge of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court. The visiting lawyers enthusiastically conveyed their best wishes for his tenure, expressing confidence that his distinguished experience and professional integrity would further strengthen the judiciary in the region.

Finally, the delegation reiterated its appreciation for the visionary and commendable initiatives undertaken by the Chief Justice to improve the justice delivery system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Consequently, the meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the shared commitment of both the judiciary and the legal fraternity to promoting transparency, efficiency and public confidence in the judicial system, according to an official handout issued by the AJK PID office.
