Better facilities being ensured at govt schools: CEO Education

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jul, 2026) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Education Authority Sargodha, Azhar Sohail Niazi, said on Wednesday that the Punjab government was ensuring the provision of improved facilities in public educational institutions across the district in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.

Talking exclusively to APP, he said private schools seeking renewal of their registration had been directed to obtain a building clearance certificate from the Buildings Department within a three-day deadline.

CEO Azhar Sohail said missing facilities, including boundary walls and washrooms, were being provided in 86 government schools across the district, while construction of new classrooms and other development works had been initiated in six schools.

He further said that 296 teachers had already been promoted across the district, adding that the promotion process for more teachers was underway to further strengthen the education system in the district.

He said 61 promotion letters would be distributed to the promoted teachers at a special ceremony.

Azhar Sohail Niazi further said that five schools in Sargodha district had been included in the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence Programme, including two schools located in Bhalwal tehsil.
